Investigator: Susan Wray, Ph.D.
Affiliation:Cellular and Developmental Neurobiology Section
Position Type:Postdoctoral Fellowship
Description:
Positions available for Intramural Training Awards (< 5 years from degree). Lab focuses on mechanisms directing 1) cell specific gene expression, 2) neuronal activity and 3) neuronal migration and axonal pathfinding. Projects utilize the LHRH neuroendocrine system to study cellular properties underlying pulsatile secretion, genes expressed at different developmental and/or reproductive states and molecules involved in differentiation and migration of LHRH cells during development. Multidisciplinary approaches are employed including nasal explants, calcium imaging, immunocyto-chemistry, in situ histochemistry, single-cell PCR, and subtractive cDNA screening. Candidates should have training in neurobiology, developmental biology, molecular biology or related field.
